Paul Kay Wuthrich, age 87, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2023, in Westminster, Colorado.
Paul was born on a Sunday – Mother's Day, in 1936. He was always proud that he was the first child making his mother a mother on Mother's Day. Born to Paul and Margaret Wuthrich, Paul lived his rambunctious young life in Logan, Utah with his three younger siblings Harold, Sylvia, and Janice, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins nearby.
Paul obtained his Bachelor's degree (1961) from Utah State in Business Management, his Master's degree (1971) from Adams State in Educational Counseling, and his Doctorate of Education (1975) from Brigham Young University in Educational Counseling.
He resided in Broomfield, Colorado since 1972, and most recently in Thornton and Westminster, Colorado. He retired from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints – Church Education System (CES) in 1998, with 33 years of service. He loved teaching, and more specifically, teaching about his faith in Jesus Christ as an Institute and Seminary instructor.
He loved traveling, education, and keeping the house clean. He also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He would fix things, but it often ended up being fixed with glue and duct tape. He was always an optimist. Some of his favorite trips included Israel, Egypt, Austria, Switzerland, and Russia.
He will be remembered for all the love he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them - and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.
Paul is survived by his five sons and one daughter: Todd Wuthrich, Marc Wuthrich, Chad Wuthrich, Lisa Morris, Greg Wuthrich, and Erik Wuthrich. He was blessed with fourteen grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing at 10:00am Thursday, November 9, 2023, followed by his funeral service at 11:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints building, 1250 Main St, Broomfield, CO. The burial will follow at the Broomfield County Commons Cemetery at 1:00pm, 12801 Sheridan Boulevard, Broomfield.
