Peggy Mcmullen

It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peggy McMullen on July 2, 2023. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home. She was born on July 20, 1939, to Hartwell and Marion Johnson in Denver, CO. She graduated from West High School in 1957. Peggy married Doran R. McMullen (Bob) on February 13, 1960. They were married for 28 years until his passing in 1988.

Peggy loved all sports and loved watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in any type of sport. She loved the Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies and Avalanche. Her number one sport was Bowling. She kept that dream alive when her and Bob owned their own Bowling Center in La Junta, CO for 10 years. She also worked at the Greater Denver USBC (Bowling Association) so she could keep her love for bowling alive when she couldn't compete any longer.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Hartwell and Marion Johnson, her brother, Robert (Snoopy) Johnson (Helen Johnson), and her husband, Doran McMullen (Bob). She is survived by her children, Debbie and Robert McMullen (Andrea McMullen). Grandchildren, Mandy Villarreal (Tyler Villarreal), Jenni Pearce (Will Pearce), Ryan McMullen. Great Grandchildren, Brady and Ella Villarreal and Theodore McMullen.

The Celebration of Life will be held at Rob and Andrea's house located at 3590 S. Malaya St, Aurora, CO 80013 on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 3:00 pm.
