Pete Morales, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2019 at his home in Lakewood, Colorado. His funeral service will be held Monday August 26, 2019 at Queen of Peace Church located in Aurora, Colorado followed by internment at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Englewood, Colorado.
Pete was born in Visalia, California on October 19, 1929 to Ramon Morales and Natividad Reynoso. He grew up wondering what was over the high sierra mountains he saw in the distance. Pete joined the United States Air Force in 1952. He served in the USAF for 24 years. During those years he was able to see numerous countries and he later loved to share stories of his adventures with family and friends. After retiring from the USAF, Pete joined Lockheed Missiles and Space Company working as a defense analyst for 15 years. While he was in the Air Force, Pete met the love of his life Cecilia Beatrice Flores. They were married on September 5, 1953. Pete and Cecilia were married for 62 years. After his retirement, Pete began life as grandfather to his five grandchildren. Pete's time as a grandfather were among the most enjoyable times of his life.
Pete is survived by his four children: Peter, Sylvia, Julie and Roger and five grandchildren: Eric, Samuel, Aubrey, Cecilia and Daniella. Pete's five surviving siblings: Mary Florez, Santos Rodriguez, Sylvia Ledford, Manuel Morales and Raymond Morales.
