Preston Kenneth ("Kenny") Koons was born in Denver, CO on 10/9/1942. He grew up in
Barnum, CO where he attended East High School. He went on to work many jobs before joining
the Navy where he served for 4 years. Once home, he welcomed his son Chade with his first
wife.
In 1978 Kenny met Jan and after a couple spilled sodas in his lap, they fell in love and decided to
blend their families by marriage on September 20th 1980. While being a family man, he also
worked at Sundstrand Aviation for 36 years where he later retired. Kenny Enjoyed many
activities such as camping, hunting, fishing, golfing, riding his motorcycle, traveling and playing
games with the clubs him and Jan were apart of...Kenny was such a loving, caring, simple man.
Always so supportive, soft spoken, gentle and easy going. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time
with his family and friends.
Kenny is survived by his Wife Janice Koons, Brother Bradley Koons, Children Chuck Britton,
Daughter-in-law Kris Britton, Tamara Deges son in-law Brent Hanes and Daughter-in-law
Melody Koons. Along with Grandchildren Haily Gigandet, Austin Koons, Kelby Deges, Alissa
Koons, Carly Deges and Great-Grandson Cayson Fowler and numerous Aunts, Uncles,
Cousins and Friends.
Kenny is preceded in death by Parents Perry and Ena Koons, Brother Raymond Koons, beloved
pet friend, Nikki and Son/best friend, Chade Koons.
Following Memorial services the family will have a celebration of life at Gate N Green
Clubhouse, 13405 Main St. Broomfield, CO 80020.
