R. Dale Barton, 73, Of Aurora, passed away Sunday January 31, 2021.
Dale was born to the late Gerald Blackett Barton and Fay Michaelis, October 31, 1947, in Columbus OH. Dale received A BS in Psychology from BYU in 1980. He received his Law degree from University of Utah in 1983 and a Master's in Psychology from University of Colorado at Denver in 2002. He married Deborah J. Hansen July 1, 1978 where they lived together in Utah, before moving to Aurora in 1983.
Dale worked as a Mechanic for 20 years. He then moved on to working IT for Budget/Ryder before retiring in 2009. Dale volunteered at the Bishop's Storehouse processing food orders for underprivileged families for 7 years. He was a ministering brother to families in his church where he volunteered his time and knowledge.
Dale was an active member of the Sable Ward, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed guns, shooting and reloading. He enjoyed lively discussions regarding guns and politics. He loved his family.
Dale is survived by his Wife, Debbie Barton. His 5 children: Shelley Ellis of Kennewick, WA; Emily Williams of Peralta, NM; Falin Barton of Denver, CO; Marin Barton Of Lakewood, CO; and Shane Barton of Lakewood, CO. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 siblings: Michaelis Barton of Kennewick WA; Jean Barton of Salt Lake City UT; Blaine Barton of Kennewick WA; Richard Barton of Kennewick WA. He is preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Fay Barton and Sister Vicky Lynn Barton.
A viewing will be held at 950 Laredo St, Aurora CO 80011 from 9-10:30 am on Monday February 8, 2021. Services will be held 950 Laredo St, Aurora CO 80011 at 11 am on Monday February 8, 2021. Services are limited to 100 people in attendance.
