Ramona May Gresham, 93, departed this world on February 7, 2024. She was born to Walter W. Gresham and Louise R. Gresham in Rock Springs, Wyoming on May 25, 1930. Ramona was preceded in death by her loving husband William J. White of over 20 years and five of her siblings.
Ramona is survived by her two daughters Cheryl Gresham, Aurora, CO and Rhonda Johnson, Denver, CO. Her two brothers Harvey and David Gresham of Rock Springs, WY. Ramona has Seven grandchildren; Marvell Harper, Tonia Harper, April Edmond(Robert), James Brown, Vandy Harper, Shatana Edmonds, and Jasper Johnson(Lynn). 25 Great grandchildren and 18 Great-Great grandchildren. She was surrounded with so much love.
After moving to Colorado to marry and start her family, she was given a scholarship from Blue Cross Blue Shield to obtain her certification and began working as a medical claim processor for 20 years and then JC Penney for an additional 20 years as a cosmetic sales associate before retiring. In the later half of her career at Penney's she was able to work for the Denver Broncos, part time, which we all knew was a dream job for her. She acquired lots of tickets to games and Bronco merch. She was an AVID Denver Bronco's fan. No matter how good or bad the season, she was a ride or die.
Some of Ramona's past times were sowing, knitting, and tending to her flower and rose garden at her home. She enjoyed watching her westerns and Steve Harvey's Family Fued on TV. Most importantly though, she helped raise several of her grand and great grandchildren. She left a very fond motherly memory in many of our hearts. To us, this was the greatest blessing of them all.
In the hearts of all who knew her, Ramona will be remembered for her warmth, her feistiness, and her unwavering love for those around her. Her legacy of compassion and generosity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
