Ray Fred Earley

June 6, 1931 — January 24, 2023

Fred was Born in Lander, Wyoming to the parents of Alberta Alice & Ray George Earley on 6/6/1931. He sadly passed on 1/24/2023 at the age of 91 years.

He graduated from the University of Wyoming with his Bachelors in Business and a member of the Sigma-Chi fraternity. He was President of the Glendale Community Club (aka, City Council in most cities.) and longtime member of the Purchasing Association for Colorado. He served as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army as Field Artillery Commander, Ft Carson Colorado.

Our parents met in Colorado Springs, CO. He was stationed at Ft. Carson while Mom was teaching at Helen Hunt Elementary School. They married on January 28, 1956.

As many of you know, he was a character! He loved his jokes and puns. He continually played with words to look for their fun in making a laugh. He always said that life was too short to be grumpy, which he lived as a premise throughout his life. Dad never complained, he voiced concerns, yet didn't complain.

He loved his career in purchasing! He so enjoyed getting bids, analyzing the products and getting the best product for the best price. Originally, he was with Celebrity Sports Center then retired from the Littleton Public School District.

He was an amazing Dad! He taught us many songs & sayings that we'll never forget. He made us an ice rink in the back yard for about 3 years in a row while the cold weather could sustain it and he could keep watering it at midnight.

Dad participated consistently with Ed's Boy Scouts. For several years he made a spook house out of our garage for Bev's Blue Bird Troop's Halloween parties.

We did get to experience the "Let's cut down our own Christmas tree!". Thankfully that only occurred once and we can laugh about it now!

As the parent of adult children, he was always there for us! Many of us know, once a parent, always a parent. Our parents carried that through to our parting lives on earth.

We are thankful that he is home with Jesus, free of pain, dancing with Mom & playing bridge again!
