René Garcia, was born August 11, 1950 in Durango, Mexico to Alexandra and Lauro Garcia. He passed away on September 30, 2018 at the age of 68.

René is survived by his wife of 44 years Emily Garcia; his son René Jr (Stacy), cherished grandfather to Sydni, AJ, and Londyn; dear brother of Juan, Marina, Vivi's, Vivi Chico; as well as his beloved nieces, nephew, cousins, and extended family.

René is preceded in death by both of his parents.

René's charming smile, and friendly manner, helped him make friends wherever he would go. René was always willing to give to those around him and he loved to share his cooking with friends and family by showing up with one of his famous seafood or Chile Colorado and rice dish.

He loved traveling back to his home country and being a tourist in the city he grew up in. When visiting Juarez you could find him at the Mercado having a cold one, getting his shoes shined.

He was a hard worker, and dedicated 32 years of his life and career to Heggem-Lundquist; where he took great pride in his job until retiring in 2012.

The Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00am at the Newcomer - West Metro Chapel.
