Rex (Alva) Martin

Alva Rex Martin was born in Downing, MO. in 1944 to Virgil and Marjorie Martin. Rex married Deanna Schlehuber of McPherson, KS in 1963. Rex was employed at Kit Manufacturing in McPherson, Kansas from 1963-1972. He moved his family to Aurora, Colorado and had a house built. Rex and Deanna have 3 children, Charles Martin of Aurora, Colorado, Danena Riggs of Fallbrook, California and Cory Martin. Cory passed away in 2007. Rex is survived by his wife, 2 children, 6 grandchildren, brother Russell Martin of McPherson, KS., and sisters Marcia Irvin of Kirksville, MO., and Sherry Laws of Downing, MO. Rex was employed with Weather Roofing Company for many years and become disabled at the age of 47. Rex had been ill the last 5 years. Rex is proceeded in death by his parents, two siblings and his son.
