Rex Turner Bourne, 65, of Aurora, passed away March 28, 2019.
He was born April 14, 1953 in Russellville, Kentucky, the son of Robert and Lois (Turner) Bourne. He was a 1971 graduate of Hinkley High School.
Rex enjoyed staying active and involved. He attended Frontier's "The Fossils' Lunch" each quarter. Rex was a former Lions Club member and would regularly support The Denver Rescue Mission. He was also a board member for his HOA.
Rex was an avid traveler. He had a great sense of humor, taking location photos of a ketchup bottle and sharing with his family and friends as a guessing game. Also known as "T-Rex," Rex would find T-Rex signs in his travels and share those photos with his friends and family. He had an infectious smile and was known for his caring and loving nature to everyone he met. He never knew a stranger. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all.
Rex is survived by sister, Sandra (Tim) Cavender; two nieces, Talisa Meng, Tara Kendrick; Nephew, Jared Bourne; 2 great-nieces; 4 great-nephews; 1 great-great-niece; sister-in-law, Lillian Bourne and several extended family members and many friends.
He is preceded in death by father, Robert Izor Bourne; mother, Lois Jean Bourne and brother, David Wayne Bourne.
