Rhonda Louise Carpenter, 49, of Aurora, passed away Monday, March 14th, 2022 due to acute pulmonary embolism.
She was born to Ronald and Louise Bush on December 12th, 1972, in Wiesbaden, Germany (Army Air Base). Rhonda graduated from Edward W. Clark High School, Las Vegas, Nevada in 1991. She married Nicholas Carpenter in 2002 and they lived together with their children in Aurora, Colorado.
Rhonda served six years in the US Air Force, from 1993 to 1999, as a Far East Cryptologic Linguist Chinese (Mandarin). Her tours of duty included Kadena Air Force Base, Okinawa Japan and Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora CO. While serving she was awarded the Aerial Achievement Medal, AF Outstanding Unit Award, AF Good Conduct Metal, National Defense Service Medal, AF Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, AF Longevity Service Award Ribbon, and AF Training Ribbon.
After her service, she held positions of sales and administration at Community Colleges of Colorado, Merchants Mortgage, Stevinson Toyota, Royal Crest Dairy, and Conley Equipment Company.
Rhonda was a consummate reader of books (primarily romance), jigsaw puzzles, and enjoyed traveling domestically and internationally.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Nicholas, her two daughters, Samantha and Amanda, her brother, John and his wife, Rai, and her mother, Louise.
A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (East Metro Chapel) from 5 pm to 7 pm Monday, March 28th. Services will be held at Trinity Baptist Church (Aurora) at 11 am on Tuesday, March 29th. Rhonda will be interred with full military honors at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a date to be determined.
