Richard E. Newell
Richard E. Newell, 74, of Arvada, Colorado. Passed away January 5, 2010 after a long battle with emphysema.
Richard was born in Denver, Colorado and graduated from West High School and worked for 40 years for the Public Service Company of Colorado as a vaultman/
lineman-cableman and utilities locator. He belonged to the Lakewood Elks Club
and The Improved Order of the Red Men. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and
hunting.
He is survived by his wife Maria (Ferretti) Newell, daughter, Karen A. Newell, grandsons Michael and Mark Newell, brother Jack (Suzanne) Newell, brother-in-law Eugene (Donna) Ferretti; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home - West Metro Chapel.
Contributions may be made to Collier Hospice Center, 3210 Lutheran Pkwy, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033 or to the National Wildlife Federation, 11100 Wildlife Center Drive, Reston, Virginia 20190.
