Richard F. Chavez, 86, born March 12, 1924, in Gardner, Colorado, passed away April 1, 2010 in Lakewood, Colorado. Survived by loving children Shirley Chavez (Mike), Danny Chavez (Michelle), John Chavez (Rose), and Richard Chavez, his loving grandchildren who will remember his love he shared and the memories he left for all. Preceded in death by his loving and beautiful wife, Emma Louise Chavez, his loving parents, John P Chavez and Della Viaz, son, Jerry Chavez, daughter, Lorraine Chavez, and grandson, Daniel Chavez in the heavens above. Viewing is Tuesday, April 6th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Funeral Service is Wednesday, April 7th from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Both Viewing and Funeral Service are held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80226. Interment, Wednesday, April 7th from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Imperial Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5450 W. State Highway 78, Pueblo, CO 81005.
