Richard D. King

March 10, 1950 — April 25, 2024

Richard D. King passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024 at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife Jeanette King and two daughters Melissa Casessa and Megan King. He leaves behind his Grandson Frank Richard Casessa and son in law John Casessa. He also leaves behind his Sister Patricia Hornberger, Niece Diane Hendricks, and Nephew Ken Hornberger.

Richard was born in Union City, Tennessee on March 10, 1950. He was a proud member of the United States Army. He served in the Vietnam war as a combat medic. Richard also served in Desert Storm. He retired from the Army in 2003 as First Sargent. Richard was also a Registered Respiratory Therapist at the VA hospital in Denver, Colorado.

Richard enjoyed many hobbies such as biking, running, camping and hunting. Him and his wife Jeanette loved taking road trips. Richard and Jeanette loved traveling to different casinos all over the country. He enjoyed going to his local VFW in Golden, Colorado, visiting his fellow veterans. Richard also loved spending time with his Grandson Frank.

Richards final resting place will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. The funeral will be held there on May 20th at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held after the funeral at his daughter Melissa’s house around 2:30. The address is 1481 S. Norfolk St. Aurora, Colorado, 80017. Please send flowers to this address on or near the day of the celebration of life.
