Richard A. Rodriguez

Richard "Rick" Rodriguez, 67, of Westwood, Denver, Colorado, passed away on September 23, 2024. Born to the late William and Della Rodriguez on April 25, 1957, Rick was a spirited individual whose passion for life was evident from a young age.

Growing up, Rick was an active member at Owen's Boy's Club, where he showcased his athletic talents in various sports, even earning recognition in the newspaper for boxing at just eight years old. He continued to excel as an athlete throughout high school at Abraham Lincoln High School.

Rick's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He found solace and purpose through his relationship with the Lord, which guided him in every aspect of his journey. He developed a profound admiration for playing the congas. His love for music flourished within the church community as well, where over the years, he had the privilege of performing with several local and world-renowned latino musicians, an experience that brought him immense joy.

A dedicated member of Berean Bible Church and attendee of Praise Center Church, Rick was passionate about sharing the gospel and ensuring his loved ones understood the importance of faith in their lives. He worked out daily, loved shopping for instruments and Bibles, hittin’ the pawn shops, always searching for the next treasure.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Tammy, and children Amber, Rick, Devin and Valerie. He was a proud grandfather to fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Debbie, the mother of their children, as well as his sisters, Billie, Valerie and Kathy.

 He was preceded in death by his sisters Angie and Linda, brother Jonny, and sons Justus and Seth. Rick's spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, faith, and music will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

 Services will be held Friday October 25th at Newcomer Funeral Home. Visitation and Gathering from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM andFuneral and Memorial 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Celebration of his life/reception at Lakeview Event Center 1:00 PM to 4:00PM
