He retired from the United States Coast Guard after 24 years of service as a Chief Warrant Officer (W-4).
He will be cremated, and his ashes will be spread in the mountains that he loved so much.
Richard is survived by his 4 children, Kimberly, T.J., Amy, and Zach, and his grandson Caleb.
