Richard Thomas Medina Jr, 44, died Thursday, June 24, 2021. He was born to Richard and Sabrina Medina, January 6, 1977, in Denver, Co.. Richard attended Thornton High School and pursued a career as a highly skilled hardwood floor professional under his business name, Protection Hardwood, along side with his brother.
Richard was passionate about life, fast cars, motorcycle riding, animals and nature. He enjoyed many years playing baseball in his youth and was invited to join the Chicago Cubs in the major leagues. His Love for Art and for Music, as a drummer, shaped his passion to hand this same passion down to his beautiful, talented daughter. He sought God with an everlasting thirst for his word and abundant grace. His heart for God and for people provoked him to help and comfort others and set his sites on pastoring, counseling and wished someday to open an addiction rehab.
Richard is survived by his daughter: Christianna Medina of Thornton, Co., and loving companion of 5 years, Misty Montoya, and her two sons, Ashton and Nick. He is also survived by his mother and step-father, Sabrina and Vincent Gurule; brother, Marcos Medina; two sisters Desiree Lopez and Shannon Marosy; grandmother, Nora Kellems; grandparents, Tiburcio and Edith Garcia; along with many wonderful aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Gofundme for Richards daughter.
