Rita Katherine Davis, 69 of Thornton CO. passed away surrounded by loved ones on the evening of February 27th, 2020. She was born on June 9th, 1950 in Denver, CO.
Rita's health had been declining for years. She was in and out of the hospital and rehabilitation facilities until making a long term facility her permanent residence the past 2 ½ years. Rita was a very strong woman who fought very hard to live. While she was afraid to die, she finally made her peace and passed with God at her side.

Rita is survived by her mother Helen Dorothy McHugh, siblings Sandra Rimbey, Diane Bantz, Edward McHugh, Vincent McHugh Jr. and Connie High as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members.
Her first job was working for a doctor as the office administrator and advancing up as his medical assistant. She also worked at General Electric followed by many years in grocery retail and was the recording secretary for UFCW Local 7.
Rita was extremely intelligent and very talented. She played the piano and organ. She was also very crafty in many ways and loved quilting, drawing, baking and her favorite past time, making beautiful cakes for all occasions.
She loved to dance, sing and laugh. She loved her dogs, family and friends more than anything. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
