Our dear mother Rita Adeline Hackworth sadly passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 79. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She was also a well-loved member of the community in Denver, Colorado. We will miss her infectious laugh, sassy energy, her shine at every party, and most importantly her unconditional love. In her youthful days she took pride in being a gymnast, and in her recent years she loved crocheting baby blankets to welcome all of our new little ones. Rita was a little lady with firecracker energy, and her love is irreplaceable.
She was predeceased by mother Angelina Urioste, Father Leo Urioste, sister Lucy Manzanares, brother John Urioste, husband Everett Hackworth, and son Donald Hackworth. She is survived by daughter Joanna Hackworth, son Steve Davis, granddaughters Teena Hackworth, Stevie Jo and Kelsea Bell, great grandsons Fabian, Jayveeon, Rome Martinez, sisters Alberta López, Roberta Urioste and Angelina Medrano, brother Michael Urioste, 15 nieces and nephews, 28 great nieces and nephews, and 11 great-great nieces and nephews. She was loved by many.
A viewing will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church April 10, 2024 from 9:00 am to 9:30 am followed by a Rosary at 9:30 am, following the Rosary Mass will be at 10:00 am also at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church April 10, 2024. The family invites you to join them in celebrating Rita's life following mass in the church gym. Location: 3801 W Ohio Ave Denver, CO 80219.
Food donations can be dropped off in the church kitchen/gym no later than 10:30 am. Please let us know what you will bring by texting Solicia at 303.396.2972.
