Robert Burrows

September 22, 1931 — April 17, 2020

Bob Burrows, 88, of Lakewood, CO, was taken to heaven on April 17th. Born on September 22nd, 1931, in Hay Springs, Nebraska, he was the first child of Milton and Lois Burrows. Bob attended Banner Grade School and Hay Springs High School, then attended Rockmont Bible College, Prairie Bible Institute, and Baptist Bible College, majoring in Theology. In 1950, between his first and second years of college, he was drafted into the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for most of his two years of service.

During his time at Baptist Bible College (Denver), Bob travelled with the music program and spoke at nearby churches. In January of 1967, he met his future wife and best friend Mildred Pierson. The two married on June 8, 1968, and lived in Hay Springs until moving to Denver for the rest of their long and wonderful marriage. Bob and Midge started EdCor together, and reached many medical practitioners in many states. They were active in church at Applewood Baptist, and participated in music programs and mission trips.

Bob is survived by Mildred (Midge), his wife and long-time best friend of 53 years, his daughters and sons-in-law Tammy and Nathan Turner and Sherri and Troy Spitler; his grandchildren Avrial and her husband Jonathan, Trenton, Alyson, Rennick, Chloe, and Samuel; his brother Don Burrows; and many nieces and nephews. Bob is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers John and Max.
