Robert Eugene Ferguson

Robert Eugene "Bob" Ferguson, 91, of Aurora, passed away March 12, 2021.
Born on January 3, 1930 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, the son of Loren and Jennie (Barnes) Ferguson. He was a graduate of Arapahoe consolidated School . Following graduation Bob enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1952. He served over 20 years and retired as a Technical Sergeant in 1972. He retired from Hospital Shared Services in 1992.
On June 18, 1950 he married Wetah Jean Shrader.
Bob was a very active and long time member of Burns Memorial United Methodist Church. He volunteered with ARC & charities that helped handicapped individuals. He was also community-oriented and active politically within the City of Aurora.
Bob enjoyed tinkering in his garage or basement. He had an obsession with magnets and cars. He was well-known for being able to fix anything. He also enjoyed going to the hills (Blackhawk)and spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by grandchildren, Jennifer Baker, David Baker and great-grandchild Brody Bowden.
He is preceded in death by wife, Wetah Jean Ferguson; son, Craig Ferguson, daughter, Robbie Baker; father, Loren D. Ferguson; mother, Jennie Fern Ferguson; sister Judy Weber and brother, Lyle Ferguson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burns Memorial United Methodist Church, 1095 Newark Street Aurora, CO 80010.
