Robert (Bobby) Holloway

November 1, 1939 — December 5, 2024

Robert Russell Holloway (“Bobby”) was born in Rachel, West Virginia on November 1, 1939 to Lillian Waddy Holloway and Titus Holloway as the 8th of 9 children. He moved to Denver at the age of 18 with other family members and lived here the remainder of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Sherron and their two children Tana Holloway and Tykus Holloway (Andrea). He is also survived by his four children from a previous marriage, Robert Holloway Jr., Kimberly Holloway, Donnise Holloway, and Lana Holloway. He is survived by one brother, Clark Holloway (Jolene). He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Selina Lynch, Grace Adams, Mary Harding, Carolyn Becks, William Holloway, Benjamin Holloway, and Ernest Holloway.

He is survived by his grandkids Teyla, Titus, Amari, LaTasha, Chawnae, Rashad, Kenneth, Joshua, Jeremiah, Alexis, Jolahn, Adrian, Dominique and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Bobby was a hard working man and was employed at several meat packing companies in his earlier years. He then went on to work for decades in the airline industry with Continental Airlines and United Airlines, from where he successfully retired.

He was a sports enthusiast and a talented athlete, including receiving an opportunity to play professional baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He loved the Broncos and was an avid golfer and fisherman. 

He leaves a legacy that is uniquely Bobby and will be missed by many! Take your new wings and soar with the angels and we will see you one day on the other side.
