DR. ROBERT S. JUNGE
Adored husband, father and grandfather; Dr. Robert S. Junge, DDS., of Wheat Ridge, Colorado died February 20th at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Denver. The memorial service will be held at Wheat Ridge United Methodist Church on February 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
Robert S. Junge was born on June 20, 1923 to Walter and Alma Junge in Big Springs, Nebraska. He graduated from high school in Julesburg, Colorado and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder before enlisting in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Robert graduated from the University of Nebraska Dental School at Lincoln.
Dr. Junge married Addie of Guide Rock, Nebraska on August 31st, 1952. He practiced dentistry in Idaho and then in Colorado. Dr. Junge was on the staff of Denver General Hospital and then Lutheran Hospital while in private practice.
Robert enjoyed gardening, hiking, backpacking, and skiing. His talents and passions included humor, science and art (sculpture, woodworking and jewelry design). Dr. Junge was a member of the Wheat Ridge United Methodist Church, Sigma Xi (Scientific and Engineering Honorary), the Colorado Society of Preventive Dentistry, American Dental Association, the Colorado Carvers Club, and the Wheat Ridge Garden Club.
Survivors include his beloved wife Addie and three children, Kent, Barbara, and Bob. Dr. Junge is also survived by one brother, Marshall, and six beautiful granddaughters, Suzanne, Jaymee, Jordan, April, Heather, and Heidi. Dr. Junge was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dwayne.
To Dr. Junge, everyone was a friend and they were all loved.
