Robert (Bob) Shaffstall died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on February 3, 2024 after a courageous battle with numerous medical issues. Bob was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend. Bob was born on July 26, 1952 in St. Paul Minnesota to Robert & Jane Shaffstall. Robert and Jane moved their family to Rochester, Minnesota in 1957, and finally to Golden, Colorado in 1964.
After graduating from Golden High School in 1971, Bob became an accomplished upholster and teacher, followed by a successful career as a licensed electrician. It was during these years that Bob developed numerous lifetime friendships. Bob was a perfectionist with an incredible eye for detail and was always available to help friends in need. He also had a very artistic side, painting Christmas murals on the windows of his home during the holiday season. His creative juices were also in full swing during his years at "The Braun House", and most notable the "Killer Bees" outfits created for a Halloween party one year. Good times were had by all!
Bob had two loves of his life, the first was Vicki Baker who he met in 1984, and married in 1990. The other was motorcycles. Bob and Vicki took numerous motorcycle vacations during their time together throughout the USA and Canada on several different BMW motorcycles and lastly their Bronco Orange Goldwing that was converted to a trike. They also had several memorable vacations in their RV with family and friends.
Bob will be remembered for his sharp wit, infectious smile, great laugh, and being a good listener. He was someone who touched so many lives and will be remembered in so many wonderful ways. Bob will be dearly missed.
