Robert Trujillo

June 9, 1946 — December 30, 2021

Today we are heart broken by the loss of Robert Trujillo. During this hard ship, it's important to understand and acknowledge the loss and the grief that we are all feeling as his family. No pain emotionally can compare to the loss of Robert.

Robert was a loving spouse to his wife (Rita), a loving dad to his children, and a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren. It's an honor to have had such a selfless and genuine person in our life.

Robert was born on June 09, 1946 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was one of sixteen siblings, he grew up in Alamogordo, NM with his parents and siblings as a child.
He came to Colorado in the early 1970's where the rest of his life journey began in Denver. When Robert was younger, he was most definitely a rebel and was known for being very rebellious as a child. Robert was also known for being a person of explorations, experience and rebellion; even as an adult.
He traveled, explored many places and was always open minded and always open to new experiences and opportunities.

Throughout the years, his hobbies consisted of watching his favorite shows such as wrestling, westerns movies and was always updated with the morning news and coffee (everyday). Not only did he love his shows, he was very experienced in playing poker, card games, and many hours of solitary. Crosswords and any puzzle in general would keep him distracted and was a hobby he truly loved. In his younger days, boxing was a hobby he was very passionate about and practiced as long as he could.
As Robert got older a lot of those hobbies had changed.
He wanted to enjoy more of the simpler things in life like gardening but most importantly, he always wanted to enjoy his family's company. A few of the things he most definitely enjoyed were his sugar candies, roasted chili peppers, and most importantly his 13 year old Chihuahua (Jose).

Robert spent most of his life working and taking care of this family. Working with different career choices throughout the years. Not only did he take care of his family as a husband and a dad, he was also an amazing and unforgettable grandfather who loved and cared for all his children and grandchildren. Robert was definitely a father figure to many, and was always there with open arms to anyone who needed it. As his life continued, his love for family grew deeper than we could all understand.
Robert was a person of family and a person of love.
He enjoyed the little things in life and always puts others' needs before his own. Robert was known for being a carefree person. He never took life too seriously and was always known for his free spirit.

Robert was an open book, he was the type of man you could ask him any question and he would answer honestly about life or even himself. Someone who never judged anyone and known for always being selfless. His free spirit is what helped get through many of the hardships he faced in his lifetime and is what kept him hopeful for the better.
He was a strong person who never gave up, even during the most difficult parts of his life. Robert was a man who cared more for his family than himself. Robert had and will continue to have a loving soul for everything and everyone.
Robert was an honorable man who wanted and enjoyed the simple things in life. His relationship with his family in other words was more genuine than we can imagine. With the heartbreak of the loss of Robert Trujillo, we know he is in a better place with peace and with his family he so dearly missed in heaven. God has taken an angel today, who will be remembered and always loved. Robert was a person who will be genuinely missed and could never be forgotten by anyone he encountered in his life.
