Robert W. Kontio

Bob was born April 2, 1937 in Ishpeming, MI, the son of Theodore and Pearl (Matthews) Kontio. He went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2009 at his home in Lakewood surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Theodore Jack Kontio. He is survived by his wife: Alberta C. (Christian) Kontio; 4 daughters: Lori Mares of Littleton, CO; Linda (James) Lee of Heavener, OK; Lisa Sharpe of Aurora, CO; Leslie Johnson of Lakewood, CO; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. He worked as a graphic artist for the Denver Post from 1968 to his retirement in 1999. Viewing will be Sunday, October 25th from 5-8 PM at Newcomer West Metro Chapel. Graveside Service will Monday, October 26th at 9:30 AM at Ft. Logan National Cemetery Area B. Memorial Service will be Monday, October 26th at 11 AM at Bear Creek Church.
