Roberta Rose Cowan, 76, of Aurora, passed away August 26, 2020.
She was born June 6, 1944 in Idaho Springs, Colorado, the daughter of Willard and Blanche (Kennelly) Cowan.
She worked at the VA, first in the Canteen and then later in Housekeeping. She retired in 2013.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to Roberta loved to build puzzles, play cards and watch TV. She was known for her latch hook rugs and made rugs for all of her children and grandchildren.
Roberta is survived by four daughters, Gina Marie (Robert) Sena, Ethelyn Kathleen (Terry Sluiter) Greene, Donna Marie (Richard Ayles) Judish and Dawn Schmetzer; son, William Schmetzer; three granddaughters, Jessica Kathleen Greene, MonaLisa M. (Jacob Kerns) Sena and Melissa K. (Homar Apodaca) Apodaca; three grandsons, Michael Jay Greene, Richard Alexander Greene and Timothy John Greene; three great-grandsons, Omar E. Apodaca, Jr., Luis D. Apodaca and Alex A. Apodaca; five great-granddaughters, Evelyn M. Apodaca, Kaia Z. Kerns, Dezirae K. Apodaca, Breanna Lynn Sutton and Jasmine Nicole Sutton; four sisters, Virginia (Sam) Slater, Phyllis Lenhardt, Shirley Hanson and Doris Mascarenas and many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her former husband Donald Judish; father, Willard Beryl Cowan; mother, Blanche Mary Cowan; daughter, Sabrina Kay Judish and five sisters, Beryl Jackson, Eileen Jackson, Beverly Cowan, Patty Cowan and Linda Murrah.
