Rodney Moore

Rodney Floyd Moore,

Loving husband of Joan Moore. Father of Kim, Mike, Toni, Dan, Malissa and Ashley. Grandfather of Phillip, Devyn, Daltyn, McKaylnn, Keith, Kyle, Brittni, Chrisjen, Ethan, Delanie, Payton, Mackenzie, and his favorite four legged friend Cody.

Born February 22nd, 1944 in Manchester South Dakota, Rod was the youngest child of Floyd and Olive Moore. Growing up in the farming town of Manchester, as a young man Rod learned the skills of farming. Some of his greatest skills were in flying his father's plane to help crop dust his family's land, and working maintenance on the farm equipment. This passion for working with his hands eventually led Rod to the occupation of diesel mechanic.

After finishing his tour with the Army during the Vietnam War, Rod decided to make Colorado his home. During the winter of 1971 Rod met the woman who would become his wife, Joan Moore. Rod and Joan were married after a 9 year courtship, and a short time later Rod and Joan celebrated the birth of their first daughter Malissa. Three years later they would again celebrate the birth of another daughter, Ashley.

Rod was a loving and devout father, friend, husband and grandpa. Those who knew him would describe him as a man who gave much while asking for little. His happiest times were spent making his family and friends laugh and smile. He loved chocolate, donuts and coffee. Rod loved to invent and to learn new things on the internet. He was a simple man with a huge heart for all he loved.
