Roger Eugene Albo Sr.
November 26, 1945 - May 15, 2020

We celebrate the life and legacy of Roger Eugene Albo Sr. after a valiant battle with COVID-19, he joined the Heavenly Angels on May 15, 2020; at the age of 74.

Roger is survived by his wife, Gerrie; three children Roger Jr. (daughter-in-law Regena), John (daughter-in-law Andrea), and Denise; as well as five grandchildren Domanick, Drew, Lauren, John Jr., and Adelyn.

The legacy of Roger is far-reaching and will forever warm our hearts with the precious memories that we have shared with him. He will be greatly missed.

Son of Emo and Elsie Albo; Roger was born on November 26, 1945 in Denver, Colorado and was raised in West Denver, a graduate of West High School. In 1965, he joined the United States Army and proudly served his country with tours in Panama, Germany and Alaska, ending his military career as a Sergeant. He was married to Gerrie on September 20, 1969 and soon after welcomed their three beautiful children: Roger Jr., John, and Denise. After his military service, Roger continued to serve as a public servant and joined the United States Postal Service where he retired after 25 years of dedicated service. In retirement, Roger enjoyed spending time with his family and sharing his great sense of humor with everyone around him. His passion for cars and wrestling shows are fond memories of experiencing the joy of his laughter and love. The Albo family tradition of Roger's delicious traditional Calabria-style Italian Spaghetti dinners is part of the legacy that we will carry on in the Christmas seasons to come.

As we reflect and mourn the loss of Roger as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend; we are grateful that we have the blessed assurance that we will see Roger again in Heaven, walking among the Angels and welcoming us to eternity. As Roger would say, "You can take that to the bank!" While we are heartbroken at the loss of Roger's bright spirit here on Earth, we are comforted with the beautiful memories we shared and carrying on the legacy of a life well-lived.

The Albo family is forever grateful for the profound outpouring of sympathy and support from so many family and friends. We are blessed by your comforting words, powerful prayers, and generous love. May you and yours be blessed as we move through this difficult time.

Private Family Services will be held with private interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
