In Loving Memory of Roger Alvarado
1955- 2022

Roger Alvarado was born on August 20, 1955 in El Paso Texas to the proud parents of the late Gloria and Antonio Alvarado Jr. At the age of 67, Roger has risen to Heaven on December 27th, 2022 in the arms of his immediate family.
Roger was the second youngest of four siblings who as a family were raised in El Paso. As a child he found a love of music playing the saxophone in elementary school and had a brilliant young mind. Roger went on to attend Cathedral High School which set him on the path to attend college at the University of Texas at El Paso.
At University Roger studied Accounting and Graduated with a Bachelors. After College he went on to work for many notable companies such as El Paso Natural Gas Company, Security Capital Group Inc, Phelps Dodge Corp, Crestone International Inc, and the most prominent of them all – Kinder Morgan Incorporated where he later retired from. In 2004 he obtained his CPA.
Roger met the love of his life Tina Martinez in 1977 and they were married in 1984. Together they started a family. Matthew Alvarado was born in 1987 followed by their daughter Sirena Alvarado in 1994.
When Roger accepted a Senior Accounting Specialist role with Kinder Morgan in 2002 his wife and kids made the move to Lakewood Colorado. Roger dedicated twenty years to Kinder Morgan ensuring his family had the best opportunities possible. Although he worked fulltime, he never missed a soccer or basketball game, dance/band recital, or a golf tournament.
In addition to his successful career he was a man of many talents and interests. Roger was passionate about good music and shared many memories with friends and family to the tune of his favorites. Some of his go to artists include Steely Dan, Earth, Wind, and Fire, ELO, Return to Forever, James Brown, Chicago, and of course his number one- The Beatles.
Above all these things his favorite thing to do was play golf. From a young age he could be found out on the course working on his score and having fun with fellow golf buddies. He was able to pass the game onto his children and proved as a great coach and mentor each time they picked up a club.
Roger will forever be remembered as a gentle, affectionate, and kind man. His family will continue to carry the light he spread until they can all be together again. Roger is survived by his wife Tina Alvarado and children Matthew and Sirena Alvarado, and by his three beloved dogs; Pico de Gallo, Tucker, and Turbo. He is also survived by his two brothers, a sister as well as many nieces and nephews.
Roger left us far too soon and he will be loved and missed forever.
A Memorial Service is to be held in his honor in the Spring of 2023 – Date to be announced.
