Rolf Armbruster, a beloved father, grandfather, and a proud American, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, in Lakewood, Colorado. Born on June 28, 1930, in Stuttgart, Germany, Rolf's remarkable journey took him from his homeland to the heart of America, where he built a life filled with love, family, and achievement.

Educated in Germany, Rolf's dedication to learning and the trades propelled him into a fulfilling career that spanned 40 years at EMW Carpet Furniture in Denver. Throughout his professional life, he was known not only for his commitment to his work but also for his calm demeanor and kind spirit. Colleagues and friends alike fondly remember him as a quiet but reassuring presence, someone who approached life with a gentle strength.

Rolf's pride in his accomplishments was evident, particularly when reflecting on his journey to becoming a naturalized citizen of the United States. He cherished every moment of his life in America and took great satisfaction in purchasing his own brick home, a testament to his hard work and determination.

A lover of literature, Rolf found joy in the pages of books and the thrill of James Bond movies. He also loved listening to classical Jazz music. In his younger days, skiing brought him exhilaration and enjoyment, complemented by later years spent in the company of his granddaughters, Nina and Zoey. Those moments spent sharing laughter and stories with them were some of his greatest treasures.

Among his fondest memories, the last ones shared at the nursing home resonate deeply. With his characteristic wit and charm, Rolf asked for "some nice cold American water," reminding his loved ones of the simple pleasures he cherished in life.

Rolf is survived by his sons Klaus and Michael, daughter Susan, and his cherished granddaughters Nina and Zoey. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Trudy, whose presence he missed dearly.
