Ronald T. Bugarin aka "Popo, Big Boogie" was born August 15, 1946, to his parents Helen Licon and Dave Bugarin. He was born in Denver, CO raised in East Denver, then moved to North Denver, where he remained till his final days. He married his high school sweetheart Kathleen Gonzales, they later divorced. They had two children, Ronald "Boogie" and Nicole "Pete" Bugarin.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Helen Licon Ho and Dave Bugarin, his sister Rhea Bugarin, brother Isaac "Ike" Bugarin, brother-in-law Billy Stern and granddog Champ. His surviving family, sisters Jackie Valdez (George), Carie Stern, and Melin Khleif, brothers Andrew "Bo" Bugarin and Garyson Bugarin. Children Ronald "Boogie" Bugarin (Annette), Nicole Gallegos (Alvino). Grandchildren Kayla "Cricket" Gallegos, Marcus "Spanky" Bugarin, Jessica "Sparkle" Gallegos, Alexa "Jade" Bugarin, Brandon "Tre" Gallegos (Yamii), Alyssa "Blanca" Bugarin and his grandogs Smokey, Titus, Chino "Cochino", and Stinky.
Boog was a great man, very loving, generous and funny, he had a nickname for everyone. He worked hard and would do anything for his children and grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren very much; they were his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 5-10pm at the AGIF Skyline Chapter 158 S. Federal Blvd., Denver, CO 80219.
