Ronald Jack Hedge
Ronald Jack Hedge, age 71, from Dinosaur, Colorado passed away on February 1, 2022, after a battle with Dementia and then a brief illness.
He was born on August 15, 1950, in Denver, Colorado. As a small child, his family lived at the Clubhouse in Indian Hills, where many great memories were made with extended family and of course all the horses!
He graduated from Arvada West High School, where he excelled in football and wrestling and earned numerous athletic awards. He then
attended Western State College and the University of Northern Colorado.
He then proudly served as a medic in the US Army. He essentially toured Europe in his army ambulance and had many great stories about this time in his life.
After the Army, he married Linda Betts and they were blessed with three children. They lived in Glenwood Springs for 26 years and owned Hedge Concrete.
Ron and Linda then bought a home in Dinosaur, Colorado, where they could watch deer from the front window and enjoy the beautiful canyons and rivers nearby. He started a handyman business and they also owned and ran Blue Mountain Animal Boarding.
Ron was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends in our beautiful Colorado wilderness areas. His other joy and comfort was his beloved bible.
He is survived by his children, Angela Grant, Aaron Hedge and Sarah Hedge, two grandchildren, Jordan Grant,19 and Harper Hedge, 9 and a large loving extended family.
A celebration of his life will be held this summer in the mountains that he loved. We will especially miss his hugs, his stories and his wonderful sense of humor.
Rest In Peace, Ronnie.
