Ronald Holland

Ronald Eugene Holland (AKA Ricky) was born October 23, 1954 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Mack and Mary Alice Holland of Boynton, Oklahoma. His parents, Mack and Mary Alice Holland, preceded him in death. Ronald found Christ early in life when he and several of his 5 other brothers and 9 sisters attended Bible School in the country in Boynton, Oklahoma. He knew and loved God and believed Jesus had died for our sins. Ronald spent the first 12 years of his life in Boynton, and then the family moved to Tulsa. Ronald finished high school there and went on to study Electronics at a technical trade school in Oklahoma City. When Ronald completed that training, he joined the United States Air Force. This experience changed Ronald's life. The various bases and countries he experienced contributed to his positive outlook on life and "Can Do" attitude. Ronald settled in Colorado, working at various jobs before working for the Hyatt Hotel Corporation, where he stayed for approximately 10 years. Before his illness, he was working for the IBM Corporation.

Ronald had a hidden talent, which he developed over the years in the military and the time he spent in the beautiful Colorado Mountains. That talent was photography. Ronald had an eye for the beautiful, the unusual, the artistic things in nature and life. Where ever he went, Rick had his camera. This is duly noted by the pictures you will see today. Rick was always behind the lens and NOT in front of it. His other passion was travelling, especially by cruise ship. I don't think Rick ever met a cruise he didn't like.

He loved his nephews and nieces. You would always find him in a mentoring role or relationship with each of them. Family meant a lot to Ronald as well as getting an education and becoming a productive member of the community.

On May 20, 2006 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Ronald married Ms. Carmen Javae Tunson. She is the daughter of J.C. and Irene Tunson. Ronald leaves behind his wife, Carmen, her parents and brothers: Mack & Betty Holland of Denver, CO, Michael Holland of Aurora, CO, Curtis Holland of Tulsa, OK, LaRon Holland of Morrow, GA, and Leon & Michelle Holland of Atlanta, GA. He also leaves his sisters: Doris of Tulsa, OK, Gwendolyn Holland of Tulsa, OK, Glenda Barnes of Ellenwood, GA, Donnita Holland of Pasadena, CA, Sharon & Barry Underwood of Aurora, CO, Ann & Warren Hervey of Aurora, CO, Amy Holland of Fort Worth, TX, Lisa Holland of Aurora, CO and Carla Holland of Morrow, GA. He will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends all over the country.
