Ronald W. Young, 70, of Lakewood, CO, left to be with the Lord on Monday, January 25, 2010 in Lakewood, CO. He was born March 17, 1939 in St. Charles, IL to his parents Teckla McCue and Wilbur Young. He spent his youth in St. Charles until he married Janice Johnson of Batavia on November 5, 1963 when they moved to Geneva. They share three sons, Richard, Russell, and Randall Young. Later on he divorced Janice and married Diane Stoeke (deceased) whom he has a stepson, Edward Stoeke.

Ron was a journeyman press setup man for most of his career. He had worked for Burgess Norton Manufactiuring in Geneva, IL; for 1966 to 1980 when he moved to Beaver Dam, WI, were he worked at Advanced Products Corp. from 1980 to 1992. He then moved to Golden, CO, and worked for Coors Tek., from 1992 until his retirement in 2008. He truly enjoyed working and meeting new people wherever he went.

Ron loved hockey and was a coach for the Tri-City Youth Hockey Program when his children played hockey. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, boating, hunting, camping, and gardening. He enjoyed vacationing with his friends in Belize. Ron loved to tell humorous stories of his life adventures where he was always the hero. His greatest love in life was for kids, animals, porkchops (in a can) and a pack of smokes. His adopted Colorado family and buddy Flash the Cat will miss him dearly!

He is survived by his brother, Dennis (Camille) McCue of Geneva, IL, brother Mike McCue; son Richard Young grandchild Kim of IL; son Russell (Michelle) Young grandchildren, Julie, Jack, and Katie of Batavia, IL; son Randall (Melissa) Young grandchildren, Katherine, Benjamin, and Abraham of Geneva, IL; stepson Edward (Brenda) Stoeke of Pekin, IL. He is preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Young and his beloved mother, Teckla McCue.
