Ronnie Calloway

August 9, 1943 — December 7, 2020

Ronnie was born August 9th 1943 to the late Cleveland Scott and Rosa Lee Bryant in Lawton Oklahoma. As a baby moving to Denver Colorado the oldest of five children he grew up in what they called the Platte Valley projects with his siblings. Patricia Calloway Donna Brooks Calloway Jennifer Calloway and Bert Bryant.

He attended Gilpin Elementary, Smiley Junior high and graduated from Manual High School in 1962 and was proud to call himself a Thunderbolt!

In 1965 Ronnie met and married Jackie Smith from Huntington West Virginia. In this union there were three daughters Margo Scott Rhonda Williams and Chaunci Calloway. They had five grandchildren Azlan Williams Jacqui Clough Elyse Smith Joshua Clough and Julia Clough.

Ronnie drove the bus for RTD 21 years, catered, taught, mentored, counseled, pastored and the list goes on. Ronnie was always the life of the party with a dashing smile and a smooth walk. Many said Ronnie was smooth, cool, a sharp dresser and even cute! Ronnie was a golfer thru-and-thru and anyone who knew him knew this to be true.

He and Jackie grew up together and in 54 years of marriage they enjoyed life to the fullest. Ronnie and Jackie played and prayed hard while cruising the world on 60 cruises! Ronnie was always a family man including his children and grandchildren in many of his adventures. The Eternal deposit he gave to everyone in his path was Jesus Christ and Ronnie would say HE is more than enough.

Ronnie was first and foremost a man of God. One with his wife he was the best loving husband, friend, priest, provider, Cruise companion, and supporter. Ronnie progressed to become an even better visual standard of an example, Mentor, friend, wise teacher, present and attentive father. To top it off he became the Pop-Pop of all grandfathers!

Ronnie's true identity was his lifestyle of trusting and believing God's word, no matter what, in every area of his life. This lifestyle has enabled countless friends family and strangers to enjoy the fruits of his obedience and faith in God. LEGACY!

Although his presence will be missed Ronnie would want to say to friends, family and strangers alike: Jesus loves you so much and I would hate to miss you in heaven because you didn't accept Jesus Christ. The invitation is free, paid in full, all you have to do is believe and receive!
