Roselyn Kressin

After a short time in assisted living in Clarksville, Tennessee, Roselyn Kressin passed away in the early hours of August 18, 2024.
Roselyn (Beltowski) Kressin was born in the Chicago area in May of 1933 to Genevieve and Louis Beltowski, She grew up and attended Wells High School in Chicago. After high school, Rose joined the Air Force. She served in Colorado Springs at the Continental Air Defense Command Operations Center (NORAD) as a Plotter, among other posts. In her service, she met Arthur Kressin. The two were married in California in May of 1954.
Rose and Art had 3 children. Steven, born in 1955, Linda in 1958 and Brian born in 1960. After many years of living the military life of moving every few years, the couple settled in first in Aurora, Colorado and then Arvada where the children attended school. After Rose and Art divorced in 1980s, she settled in her home in Thornton, which she loved. She held many jobs over the years, but she loved her job at the University of Colorado Credit Union in Boulder where she worked as a collector. She was very effective in this position and enjoyed helping young people learn how to manage their finances.
Rose also loved the community of Thornton. She volunteered at the library and the police department. She always had the utmost respect for anyone who served either military, police or fire fighters. She always had a story or a joke for everyone she met.
Rose is survived by her children: Steven Kressin and daughter-in-law Terry, Linda Golden and son-in-law Robin, Brian Kressin and daughter-in-law Sally, her siblings: John Beltowski, Richard Beltowski, Paul Wickersham and Darlene Gallup, her grandchildren: Stephanie Boyd, Stacey Kressin, Lindsey Trujillo, Izaiah Golden, Alexander Kressin and Ean Kressin, her great-grandchildren: Caleb Geery and Emma Boyd, great-great grandchild: Eva Geery, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her mother Genevieve Wickersham, father Louis Beltowski, brother Louis Beltowski and her former husband, Arthur Kressin.
