Born June 14, 1923 to Lorin and Mattie Harrison in Mossville, Arkansas
Roxie Lorraine Harrison was born in Mossville, Arkansas and raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She graduated from Lakeside High School in 1943 and
married William A. Austin in 1944. After living in Illinois for a short time the Austins arrived in Colorado in 1955 with their three children Bill, Pat
and Barb. Roxie worked for Jeffco Public Schools in Food Services for 21 years. She was a member of Applewood Baptist Church for 30 years where she cookedfor the Wednesday night services. Roxie enjoyed traveling back to Arkansas to see family and friends, cooking Sunday dinners while spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Roxie was admired for her kind and gentle spirit, as well as her selflessness. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be
greatly missed by her loving family.
Roxie was preceded in death by her brother Lorin R. Harrison, Jr. She is survived by her husband William Arthur Austin, son Bill (Kathy) Austin, Daughter Pat(Russ) Mayer, Daughter Barb (Tim) Roark. She is also
survived by her grandchildren Heath (Sandy) Austin, Gayla (Steve) Lattimer, Kaylynn (Brad) Johnson, Gavin Mayer, Tyler Roark and Tanner Roark. Her surviving great-grandchildren are Connor and Macy Lattimer,
Annabeth and Briar Johnson and Case and Braden Austin.
Roxie's surviving siblings are Ralph (Eithel) Harrison, Wally (Estelle) Harrison, Virgina (Raymond) Dodd sister-in-law Jeri Harrison, Sam (Gwen) Harrison.
