Roy E. Linton passed away on February 18th at the age of 71, due to complications of COPD & congestive heart failure. He was born in Colorado Springs to parents, Roy A. & Mary Jane Linton and lived there until 1971 before moving to Denver to pursue an art education at the Colorado Institute of Art. He became an accomplished artist of classic car renderings as well as helping with restoration work on actual vintage autos. He was an avid fan of auto racing and loved to collect models of his favorite race cars.
He continued a career as a well-known car painter, working for auto body shops in the Denver area for 44 years. His home life he shared with many beloved cat companions before meeting and marrying Linda Searles in 1992. During their marriage she struggled with heath issues and eventually died in 2005.
Roy is survived by sisters, Doris Buckley & Betty Sanford; nieces, Joan Leinbach & Mary Siemens; nephews, John & Mike Buckley, and one cat, Phoenix.
