Rudolph "Rudy" Peter Wolters passed away Oct. 14th 2008 at the Age of 62 years old. Rudy was born June 21st 1946 in Lemke, Germany and at the age of nine moved to Brooklyn, New York with his mother Maria, father Wilhelm and brother Willy. Rudy excelled in sports such as basketball and was academically aggressive. He graduated with an associate's degree in Liberal Arts and received a Bachelors degree in Psychology. Rudy flourished while living on the east coast but in the late '70s decided to move out west to find opportunity in the growing Colorado economy. In 1980 Rudy met Joy Orr they were married and also had their first child Kurt Wolters in 1985. Within the year he found a job that he would carry on for over two decades at Lynn Lyle. Soon following in 1987, Joy and Rudy had twin girls Maria and Allison Wolters. Rudy was a loving father, brother, husband, friend and a caring uncle to several nieces and nephews. Survivors include his mother Maria, 94 and brother Willy, 64 whom still reside on the east coast; wife Joy Wolters, 55; son Kurt Wolters, 23; and daughters Maria and Allison Wolters, 21. Rudy also has two daughters from his first marriage named Sandy and Lisa. Rudy was preceded in death by his dear friend and companion Kathy Richards; and close friend Jerry Hale. Each of the family members played an active role in the latter part of his life and supported one another deeply in family driven endeavors. If we can all remember just one memory of his love, joy and avid sense of humor, he will continue to live in our hearts forever.
