Rudy Cordova, 67, of Denver, passed away Friday, April 25, 2008.
Son of the late Jose Patricio Cordova and the late Victoria Ortiz. Survived by wife Maeve Cordova and children Mark, Nick, David, Julie (Alejandro) Alvarez and Therese (Jack) Martinez. Brother to Lucille and tgrandfather of 10 grandchildren: Christopher, Hillary, Dominique, Izabell, Jack, Danessa, Reina, Isaiah, Ana and Rudy.
Rudy was an honorably discharged Veteran of the U. S. Navy and an avid golfer. He worked at Rocky Flats, where he retired after thirty years of loyal employment.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed. Rudy will be forever in our memories and always in our hearts. Lord Jesus take his hand and lead him to your paradise.
Friends and family may view Rudy Wednesday, from 6:00PM until 7:00PM, with the Rosary Recited at 7:00PM by Deacon Gino Torrez, at Presentation of Our Lady Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00AM at Presentation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 695 Julian St., Denver, with Rev. Edward Poehlmann, officiating.
Interment, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area / Shelter "B" at 12:30PM, with Military Honors by the U. S. Navy and the All Veterans Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be David Cordova, Nick Cordova, Mark Cordova, Alejandro Alvarez, Jack Martinez, II and Christopher Prisinzano.
Following the interment, there will be a reception at the Jack-N-Grill Restaurant, 2524 Federal Blvd., Denver. All of Rudy's family and friends are invited.
