Russell Hedglin
March 14, 1959 — January 21, 2022
Russell (Rusty) Lee Hedglin was born in Denver, CO on March 14, 1959 and went home to be with the Lord on January 21, 2022.
Rusty enjoyed working with cattle and horses. He was a training jockey for horse racing at Centennial Race Track in Littleton, CO, and various other race tracks. He was especially proud that several of the horses he trained won awards and made it to the "Winner's Circle".
Rusty loved to laugh and make people smile, and he appreciated all types of music.
He is survived by his siblings, Richmond Morse and his wife Cheryl of Cheyenne, WY; Les Morse and his wife Joan of Idaho Falls, ID; David Morse of La Junta, CO; Kathy Hedglin of Littleton, CO; Jerry Hedglin of Pueblo, CO; and Athena Santistevan of Pueblo, CO. Also, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held February 3, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, CO at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Fairmount Cemetery at 430 S. Quebec St., Denver, CO.
