Ruth A. Jones

Our beautiful mother, grandmother and great grandmother Ruth was reunited with her beloved husband Rich on December 4, 2020 at age 89.

Ruth was born in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Howard and Marie. She graduated from North High school in 1949.

Ruth met Richard Jones in December 1947 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church and were married in 1949. They were active at Highland Park Church and then Bear Creek Presbyterian Church. In recent years they began attending Southern Gables Church and enjoyed worship there.

Ruth and Rich raised 3 children, Gary, David and Diane. Ruth was a homemaker while the children were young and later worked at few medical offices and the church office.

After retirement Rich and Ruth traveled extensively in the United States and throughout the world. They owned a motor home and were charter members of the Winnebago/Itasca/Travel Club.

Ruth and Rich moved into a patio home community next door to their son Gary and enjoyed the neighborhood activities.

After Rich passed away, Ruth moved into MorningStar Littleton, a wonderful Assisted Living home where she no longer had to worry about cooking and cleaning. She enjoyed all the activities like bingo and bridge.

Ruth is survived by her three children - Gary Jones, David Jones and Diane Oakley. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Ruth will be interred at Ft Logan National Cemetery with her beloved husband Rich.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family will hold a celebration of life at a later time.
