Death is Not the End!

Ruth is in Heaven now for all eternity because she knew Christ gave her eternal life. She realized in the fall of 1982 that she was a sinner.

Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

In Romans 6:23 the Bible tells us For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Ruth wanted to accept God's gift, but was unsure how to do that.

Romans 10:9 tells us how. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

At that point in Ruth's life, she did what Romans 10:9 says. She was not sinless or perfect, but knew God had forgiven her sins. She knew her last day on earth would be her first day in Heaven.

Ruth would love to see you someday in Heaven as well. If you have more questions about salvation and going to Heaven, please feel free to contact First Baptist Church of Englewood 303-781-5519 or www.fbceco.org.

Ruth's Favorite Verses

Psalm 56:3,4
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

Proverbs 3:5,6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Ruth's Favorite Songs
"Sheltered in the Arms of God"

By Dottie Rambo and Jimmy Davis

I feel the touch of hands so kind and tender
They're leading me in the paths that I must trod
I'll have no fear for Jesus walks beside me
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.
Soon I shall hear the call from Heaven's portals
Come home my child, it's the last mile you must trod
I'll fall asleep and wake in God's new Heaven
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.
So let the storms rage high, the dark clouds roll,
They won't worry me
For I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God
He walks with me and naught of earth shall harm me
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

"It is Well with My Soul"
Philip P. Bliss

When peace like a river attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.
And, Lord, haste the day when the faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll,
The trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend,
Even so—it is well with my soul.
