Ruth Beatrice Preuitt was born February 12, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio to parents Clayton Phelps and Mary Casey.
Ruth was raised and lived in Cincinnati most of her life. She married twice and raised her two children, teaching them life's most important values, showing them love along the way. She worked for General Electric as a supervisor and retired after many years of service.
Ruth was quite the fashionista. She would spend hours browsing to find that special something. She also loved to doodle (mostly legs in high heels and lips). Gardening was her biggest passion (meaning grass had to be cut at a slant and flowers and vegetables watered from the top).
She loved to go the rec center and play bingo. Sam's club rotisserie chicken was a must every week.
Ruth is preceded in death by her son Gary Johnson, sisters Mary Ann Tarver and Maxine Frost as well as members of her extended family.
Survivors include her daughter Kathy Preuitt-Parks, son-in-law Brian Parks, granddaughters Loryn Preuitt-Parks, Natalie Preuitt-Parks-Doyle (Jake) and Kecia Y. Cannon-Tyehimba, sister Eunice Washington, nieces Kasey Biggs and Heather Combs, as well as members of her beloved extended family.
Nana, you're my golden hour, the color of my sky. You always showed up for me and I love the light I found in you. As the coolest cat, you will be terribly missed but I know everything's gonna be alright because I will always have you with me.
Love Nat
