Sally Ann Nation-Morgan, 51, of Westminster, passed away Friday morning. She was born to Francine and the late Alfred Nation, November 1966, at University Hospital, Denver. Sally graduated from Adams City High School in 1985. She married James R. Morgan III later that same year, and they lived together in Fayetteville, NC before returning to Commerce City, and later to Westminster.
Sally was a Senior Account Technician with the National Conference of State Legislators since April 2006. She was a Catechism Teacher at Our Lady Mother of the Church in Commerce City, a Sponsor for Catholic students, a lifelong writer and poet, and a 3rd Degree Black-belt in Taekwondo at the Colorado Taekwondo Institute in Westminster. Among Sally's many traits was her genuine care, acceptance, and respect for all people she encountered, her passion for the journey of life, and her love and embrace of family. She was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, a caring daughter, a sister, aunt, co-worker, and dear friend.
Sally is survived by her husband James, and their two children Joseph and Hope, both of Westminster. She is also survived by her brothers Wayne, Budgie, and Sass Nation, and sisters Donna Reidenbach, Connie Robb and Lori Martinez. She is proceeded in death by her father Alfred, her brother David, and her nephews Shawn and Allen Nation.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Susan G. Koman Foundation for Breast Cancer research.
Services will be held at Saint Anne Catholic Church beginning at 11am, Tuesday, February 20th, followed by burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery. The reception will follow the burial at El Jardin Restaurant banquet room from 2:30-4:30, 6460 E. 73rd Ave., Commerce City, CO 80022.
