Salvador Joseph Lopez
December 29, 1923 - August 14, 2010
Sal Lopez, 86 of Denver, CO - born in Rawlins, WY, passed away on August 14, 2010. Survived by his loving wife, Rita, children: Beth Morrissey, Chris Lopez (deceased), Tim Lopez (Sandy), Jeff Lopez (Adrianna), Cathy Lopez (Roger), Teri Driskell (Eric), 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, two sisters: Catherine Martinez and Evangelina Lopez both of Rawlins, WY. Sal had two younger brothers: Alfred and Daniel Lopez (both deceased). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sal was drafted into WWII at the age of 19. He served in the U.S.A.A.F.-WWII in the Pacific from 1943 - 1945. After returning home from the war, he attended The University of Wyoming where he played his favorite sport, football, from 1947-1948. Sal spent his career as a Mechanical Engineer for firms in Colorado and Washington State. Sal cherished his family above all else. He was "Grandpa" to all. Everyone is welcome to join us in celebrating his amazing life.
