Samuel (Sam) Rea, age 85, of Lakewood, CO went to be with the Lord on March 26th, 2023.
Samuel was born May 24th, 1937, in Denver, CO. He served in the Army Reserves as a military policeman. He was a brick mason by trade and owned his own construction company for many years.
Samuel is survived by 3 sisters, Esther Rea, Anastasia Rea, and Martha Rea, and 2 brothers, Arthur Rea and Eli Rea. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Rea. Sam has 3 daughters, 11 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild: including Elizabeth Fox and her husband James, and their 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; Maureen Marshall and her 4 children, and 14 grandchildren; and Sandra Wood and her husband Allan, and their 4 children and 11 grandchildren.
Sam was able to figure out the solution to almost any problem. For example he built a custom home starting with just the blueprints. Sam enjoyed music, reading, singing, boxing, wrestling, donuts, and Mexican food. He lived life on his own terms without constraint and unapologetically. Although Sam did not have monetary wealth, he was blessed abundantly with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He did leave his family with a priceless inheritance which is faith in Jesus Christ
