Sandra Jean Culver, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 22, 2021, at her home in Arvada. Sandra was born on February 9th, 1944, in Richmond VA to the late Fleming and Eva Jean Bowdoin. Sandra graduated from Frank W. Cox High School Class of 1966.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three brothers, Edward, Charles, and Benjamin and her sister Patricia. Husband, Daniel D. Culver; Sons, Charlie Martin, Charles Culver, Daniel L. Culver; Daughters, Sandi Martin Davis (Doug), Naree Culver; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Sandra's unwavering faith in the Lord, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and church members is what carried her through. She loved skating throughout her life and shared her love of skating through teaching others, especially the children.
Known for her ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers, some may be surprised to learn that she claimed to be quite shy. She possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. She always maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her nurturing love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to name individually, including: Abundant Life Church Family, Hospice – the amazing SCL Health Team, and a special thanks to both T.T. and Emilia. Friends – either through prayer and/or visits, neighbors, and even random acts of kindness through total "strangers" and her Skate City family, her home away from home that she loved dearly.
Another leaf has fallen,
another soul has gone.
But still we have God's promises,
in every robin's song.
For he is in His heaven,
and though He takes away,
He always leaves to mortals,
the bright sun's kindly ray.
He leaves the fragrant blossoms,
and lovely forest, green.
And gives us newfound comfort,
when we on Him will lean.
