Sandra Kay Stephenson, 61, of Aurora, passed away June 20, 2019.
Sandra Kay Stephenson was born December 1, 1957 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Eugene and Rudene (Bolton) Stephenson. She was a graduate of Okay High School and went on to graduate from Connor's State College. Sandra was a very smart woman.
When Sandra was a young girl she loved playing paper dolls, singing old school music, going to the high school basketball games. She enjoyed watching her sports. She also enjoyed getting together with family to play dominoes, cards, and occasionally dance. Sandra also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and word searches, going to Central City, and playing BINGO when she could.
Sandra moved back to Denver about three years ago following the birth of her grandson. She was employed at St. Andrews Village for many years.
Sandra departed this life on June 20, 2019 to live with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Rudene Stephenson, and her brother-in-law, Michael Seals.
Sandra is survived by her two sons, Richard Horton III and Brandon (Emem) Horton, both of Aurora. Others left to cherish her memory are her seven siblings, Anna Seals of Inola, Oklahoma, Gloria Stephenson, Dessa Stephenson, Dale (Peggy) Stephenson all of Okay, Oklahoma, Reverend Roger (Verdell) Sephenson of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Trina (Otis) Stephenson of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Gladys (Kevin) Cheeseboro of Aurora, Colorado; five grandchildren, Brelynn, Ashlyn, Richard IV of Oklahoma, Brandon "Empe" Jr." and Bolton of Aurora, Colorado; a special friend, Richard Horton II of Denver, Colorado; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Sandra was loved and liked by all she came in contact with. She will truly be missed.
